Today, April 30, is the 36th birthday of Queens rapper and G-Unit soldier Lloyd Banks.

Often dubbed Mr. PLK (Punch Line King), Banks has been holding his own and putting it down since his first appearance on 50 Cent's game-changing mixtape, 50 Cent Is The Future.

"I know my history, my family tree done said master/F*ck livin' positive cause negativity spreads faster/A celebrity has to bulletproof his car/'Cause big hits come flyin' through ya door like Casper...," he spit furiously on the memorable "Banks Workout," a track off the aforementioned mixtape.

As a rooting member of 'Fif's G-Unit ensemble, Banks has managed to establish quite the following due to his surging catalog of well-received mixtapes like the fan-favorite, Money In The Bank 5-part series, Return of the PLK and his popular Cold Corner mixtapes.

Aside from his street-approved tapes Banks has released three LPs during his career, including 2004's platinum-selling The Hunger For More, 2006's Rotten Apple and 2010's H.F.M. 2 (Hunger For More 2)—which produced the certified gold single "Beamer, Benz Or Bentley" featuring Juelz Santana.

Since G Unit's reunion in the summer of 2014, Banks has been hard at work with the boys, dropping their latest posse mixtape, The Beast Is G-Unit in March 2015. He followed  up that project with some solo freestyles of his own.

The hunger is still there. In 2016, he revived his Blue Friday series, dropped his Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days Of Fury mixtape and welcomed his first child into the world. Despite rumors to the contrary, Banks has no aspirations to quit the game.

Happy Birthday, Banks!
