Following reports that Rick Ross is wanted for questioning related to a murder that occurred in front of a home he owns in Miami on Wednesday (February 29), a detective confirms to MTV News that the rapper is not a suspect nor is he being sought for questioning at this point.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that a 40-year-0ld man was murdered in front of a Miami Gardens home Rick Ross owns and that cops hoped to talked to Rozay about the fatal incident since he is the owner of the house. The murder is still under investigation and while police declined to reveal the name of the deceased at press time, according to MTV, it seems Rick Ross is definitely in the clear.

Miami Gardens officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 7 a.m. ET following reports that gun shots were heard in the area. When police arrived at the scene they found a dead body in the yard of a house owned by the Maybach Music boss. Though Ross owns the property, it is not where he resides.

In related news, the case between former L.A. druglord "Freeway" Rick Ross and Rozay over the use of the name has been reopened, according to the Boom Box. The Rosses are set to appear in a Los Angeles court in May. –Gina Montana
