Jay-Z is having a good 2012 so far.

Not only did the Brooklyn rapper have his first born, a daughter named Blue Ivy Carter, with beautiful wife Beyoncé, he reopened his New York City 40/40 Club, which was shut down for renovations, and now, a lawsuit against him involving a private jet has been dropped.

TMZ is reporting that a $137,000 private jet lawsuit against Hov was dismissed, presumably because a settlement was reached.

Jigga was initially sued in 2010 because he allegedly flaked on a six-figure bill after racking up 55 hours of flying time — of which he paid 37 hours — on a private jet.

In related news, Jay-Z will be performing two shows at NYC's historic venue Carnegie Hall, becoming the first to ever headline a hip-hop focused series there. The performances will benefit the United Way Of New York City and The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Jay-Z will be performing on February 6 and 7. —Gina Montana
