Although a fatal shooting occurred outside of his concert in Alabama over the weekend, for which he was questioned by authorities, Webbie insists he had nothing to do with the murder.

TMZ reports police rushed to Webbie's show at Primetime nightclub in Dothan around 3am on Sunday (January 22) after a call was made to report shots fired. When they arrived, they discovered a man lying down on the pavement outside of the club with a gunshot wound to the chest. The man later died at a nearby hospital.

Webbie was taken in for questioning following the incident and rumors began to circulate that he was actually being investigated for murder. But Web's reps say that isn't the case. His manager tells TMZ the rapper was questioned simply because the shooting took place outside the venue where he performed at and the cops took precautionary measures in case maybe Webbie had some information about what went down.

According to law enforcement sources, though, Webbie had no info about the violent affair, so, he was let go. No arrest was made and no charges were filed against him. —Gina Montana
