Snoop Dogg continues to spark controversy over his weed-smoking.

TMZ is reporting the D-O-Double-Gizzle is in the middle of an criminal investigation after being accused of sparking a blunt in the middle of Beirut, Lebanon, back in 2009 according to major Middle East concert promoter Roger Kalaouz. Snoop featured footage of the smoking session in a music video for his song, "That's Tha Homie," and as a result, has allegedly been threatened with a lawsuit.

Kalaouz tells the entertainment site that Lebanese authorities launched a criminal investigation after they caught wind of the weed smoking. Kalaouz also claims that Snoop promised he could be the rapper's exclusive Middle East representative, but after Kalaouz started booking Snoop, the dog's people told him the deal was never official. Now, Kalaouz says he's firing letters to Snoop's camp, demanding more than $280K in damages and asking that Snoop fulfill his commitment to perform two concerts in the Middle East.

Kalaouz says Snoop's people told him they'd look into his request, but so far, no agreement has been reached. —Gina Montana
