The suspect in Slim Dunkin's death has turn himself in to authorities.

The man accused of killing the rapper, 28-year-old Vinson Hardimon (also known as Young Vito), is now in custody after police issued a warrant for his arrest last week.

"I got a call today from his attorney," homicide Det. David Quinn told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He said he wished to turn himself in."

Hardimon, who is being accused of fatally shooting Dunkin after getting into an argument over a piece of candy, surrendered to police around 2 p.m. on Monday (December 26) and was taken to the Fulton jail shortly after. Quinn told the AJC that Hardimon's appearance had been altered since the day of the shooting, including his dreadlocks being cut off and was clean-shaven. The detective also added that each of Hardimon’s previous arrests involved weapons charges.

While the main suspect in the shooting has turned himself in, police are still asking witnesses to provide information on the unfortunate incident, which took place in a recording studio with approximately 30 people present.
