T.I. Preps New Album, Trouble Man

Since his recent release from prison, T.I. has been hard at work in the studio, releasing remixes to some of the game’s hottest songs, including “Niggas In Paris,” “She Will,” “I’ma Boss,” “Headlines” and “Spend It.” Tip also dropped his Big K.R.I.T. produced and featured cut “I’m Flexin” as his first street single since coming home, as well as “Here Ye Here Ye” featuring Pharrell. Now, the Atlanta rhymeslinger has shifted his focus to his upcoming album, Trouble Man.

During a recent interview, T.I. confirmed to Billboard that he’s hard at work prepping his new album.

“A lot of times I’m taking myself out of my element, ” he said. “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now cause I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot…nothing like when I was in that life.”

According to Billboard, the King of the South has recorded upwards of 45 songs for the project, including a track titled “Pyro,” which Tip is particularly “proud of,” he says. “‘Pyro’ is a straight party record. It’s nostalgic of those crazy nights, early mornings [but] just turned up.” “Pyro” will come after the release of T.I.’s two singles, “I’m Flexin’,” featuring Big K.R.I.T. and “Hear Ye’ Hear Ye’,” feat. Pharrell Williams.

There is currently no release date for Trouble Man, which will be T.I. eighth solo album and first since 2010. —Adam Fleischer
