Heavy D Funeral Services Set For Thursday

Funeral services have been set for Heavy D.

Family and friends will gather in the fallen rapper’s hometown of Mount Vernon, New York, from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday (November 17) for a public viewing, while a private funeral service will follow the next day at Grace Baptist Church [also in Mount Vernon], all according to Allhiphop.com.

Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, died at the age of 44 last Tuesday (November 8). The rap legend complained of shortness of breath before being rushed to the hospital. It has been said Heav was suffering from a pesky cough that could have been pneumonia, but those reports haven't been confirmed.—Jakinder Singh
