Watch the throne, literally. The newly released T.I. partied in regal fashion late last night (September 30) at club Esso in Atlanta, as he sat in one. DJ Drama, Nelly, Lil Duval, the Grand Hustle Family, Maino and CyHi the Prince were among those who came out to celebrate at the "Welcome Home Party" put on by T.I.G. and World Star Hip-Hop.

"Get on my back; let's fly," Tip said to the crowd—who kept their eyes fixated on him the whole night.

Performing a bevy of his hits, with a huge throne as the backdrop, an energized Tip recited lyrics to such staples as "24s" and “What You Know About That" as the audience reveled.

Earlier in the day, Tip had a private dinner at radio personality Frank Ski's self titled restaurant in ATL and debut a new song with Big K.R.I.T. called "I’m Flexin’." On V-103's Ryan Cameron Show. He also hinted to Cameron what his new music would sound like.

"To be frank, when I went all through the things I went through, the new sophisticated, Paper Trail, the upper echelon, T.I. [Fans], all those people... All those people were the quickest to give me their back pockets to kiss," he said [watch here]. "The ones that really stayed down with me was those Bankhead natives; the ones that supported the first two albums. I feel that I'm gonna stay down with who stayed down with me. I'm gonna communicate with those who communicated with me in my darkest hours. Also, just being a fan of music myself, I understand my core derives from that. At one time I was focused and caught up in being what everybody expected of me. I got away from what I do best and that's Bankhead. That's what I meant by that. Energy wise, subject matter wise [and] sonically." —Shaheem Reid
