Asher Roth will be making his film debut in the forthcoming comedy, 50K and a Call Girl, reports Variety.
Directed by Seth Grossman (A&E’s Intervention, Butterfly Effect 3), the mock documentary centers on a man and his friends on a road trip following news that he was given only six weeks to live after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
The XXL Freshman alum will join Grossman (who also stars in the movie), Ross Paterson (who co-wrote the flick with Grossman) and Jessie Wiseman. Paterson will produce along with Tristan Drew, JP McMahon and Ivan Victor for Street Justice Films.
As of press time there is no further details.
Roth recently dropped a video for “In the Kitchen,” a song with Chuck Inglish from the The Cool Kids and “Last Man Standing,” a collabo with Akon. —Elan Mancini
