Bi-coastal rap beefs and regional battles may be a thing of the past with the release of super-compilation album The Academy this September.

More than 55 rappers join forces on the album’s 20 original tracks, including Raekwon, Method Man, Jadakiss, Styles P, Kurupt, Pete Rock, Royce Da 5’9”, Redman, Keith Murray, Sean Price, Canibus, Planet Asia, Ras Kass and many more.

The album, executive-produced by Dogg Pound veteran Kurupt, drops on September 13 on Terminal 3/Penagon/Bonzi Records. —Lauren Carter

    Damn thats cool as hell…I went to school with Rusty from the Mudkids. Glad to see he is doin some work outside of Nap with some known artists.He is a conscious rapper but its cool that hes gettin national attention, our town is a small market but it has a lot of untapped local talent here.
