Last night wrapped possibly the biggest hip-hop concert to hit the country. Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2011 shut down New Jersey's Meadowlands Stadium with a rumored 60,000 people in attendance, chanting along with the likes of Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Drake.

With an amazing line up – Waka Flocka Flame, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Dipset, C Breezy, YCMCB and Maybach music, among others – it was only fitting that the guest appearances be major. The unexpected showstoppers inlcuded Big Sean, Wale, DJ Khaled, Drake, Lil Twist, Tyga, Cory Gunz, Kevin McCall, Busta Rhymes and Birdman. One of the best surprise of the night was Diddy who diddy-bopped across the stage in his classic all-white ensemble, dark shades and a Coco Chanel chain.

CB gave a memorable performance; the highlight being the 5’6” cutie he brought on stage to serenade with “Take You Down.” Audiences have become accustomed to R&B singers asking for a female counterpart from the crowd to come on stage and kiss her or provide a quick lap dance. But Brown gave the people more than they expected, sucking on the neck and shoulders of his on-stage mistress, all while breaking her back and the chair she was sitting in with exaggerated body strokes. Busta Rhymes' guest spot during the hit "Look at Me Now" was a major moment as well.

Weezy took over the show as he brought most of Young Money to the show. Performing “Bedrock” was just the beginning to what seemed to be a concert anticipating the release of Tha Carter IV. Finishing the YMCMB set with “Hustle Hard,” Wayne joined Ace Hood, Rozay and Diddy for his final performance of the night.

Although many hoped to see Jay-Z and Kanye grace the stage alongside Ricky Ross, they weren’t left disappointed. Maybach Music finished the show, leaving the crowd singing “Tupac Back” and “B.M.F.” as they headed to the parking lot at the end of the show. —Amber McKynzie
