Company Flow Reunite for NY Show

Underground New York rap group Company Flow will perform for the first time in over 10 years in mid-July.

The one-time Rawkus Records crew is set to take the stage at Santos Party House on July 16, with fellow NYC outfit The Juggaknots opening and other unnamed special guests slated to appear.

The trio of EL-P, Bigg Jus and Mr. Len will then trek across the Atlantic to perform with Portishead at the I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London.

The influential group is best known for the full-length studio album Funcrusher Plus, released in 1997.

Tickets for the show ($20 in advance, $25 at the door) are available here. —Lauren Carter

man I hear that. My first impression of Co Flow was like “yo, aint el-p ever heard of a fucking metronome?”

But man my opinion has changed drastically. NO ONE has done it like Co Flow did on Funkcrusher, and no one ever will. They came so far out on some other shit that they cant be compared with anything emcees or producers are doing at any point in the past or future.

From the beats, which I thought were off, to the lyrics, which i thought were gibberish that didnt make sense – I know realize that these dudes kicked one of the rawest and illest forms of hip hop that ever existed.

“yo eyes go blind like 2 pac getting shot in the lobby, most emcess styles is robberies of my freestyles as a hobby…”
