Rap mogul Jay-Z has reportedly raked in more cash than wife Beyonce for the first time since 2008.

According to Forbes Magazine’s latest figures for their annual Celeb 100 list, the God MC netted a cool $37 million over the past year, compared to Beyonce’s $35 million. Both figures represent a dip in income from 2010, when Bey brought home $87 million and Hov pulled in $63 million, largely because stars are between albums.

Beyonce’s income sources include clothing line Dereon, endorsements deals with companies such as L’Oreal and DirecTV, and, of course, music. Her new album 4, is in the works.

Jay-Z’s various non-music monetary interests include stakes in the 40/40 club and advertising firm Translation, a deal with concert promotions conglomerate Live Nation, and his memoir, Decoded. His highly-anticipated collabo album with Kanye West, Watch The Throne, is on its way. —Lauren Carter
