The Beastie Boys are projected to sell around 100,000 to 110,000 copies of Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, their blistering comeback record, in its first week, according to hitsdailydouble.com’s one-day sales projections.

Those numbers should score the Capitol/EMI release hip-hop's top spot and a solid No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart come next Wednesday, May 11.

For The Beastie Boys, it's a strong return to form, yet also a demonstration of the music industry's general sales decline. The group's last rap album, 2004's To The 5 Boroughs, was less well received, but sold 360,000 copies in its first week and eventually went platinum. —Carter Maness
