Big Boi, ever the collaborator, has revealed that he's spent the last week in the studio with mainstream rock mainstays Modest Mouse working on the band's upcoming record.

"Me and @mouche1 [producer Chris Carmouche] in the studio working with Modest Mouse on their new album," Daddy Fat Sax tweeted. "Turnt up! Shout out to [frontman] Issac [Brock] and the crew," later adding, "Been camped out in the Lab with Modest Mouse all week, working on the new mouse LP. Coolest cats ever. Long Live The Funk."

For a band that has been underrepresented in the hip-hop world since breaking through with the 2004 album 'Good News for People Who Love Bad News,' Modest Mouse has had something of a coming-out party in 2011. In addition to the studio time with Big Boi, the band's smash "Float On" forms the basis of Lupe Fiasco's "The Show Goes On" single off his recent "Lasers" LP. —Carter Maness
