Wale has a new "bawse." The 2009 XXL Freshman confirmed over the weekend that he officially signed with Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group.

As XXLMag.com reported back in December , Wale had been in talks to sign with the Rick Ross-led Maybach Music Group for several months.

“I'm blessed man, I’m blessed," Wale said in a viral video of working with the Miami rapper [watch below]. "Same music, better energy, that's all I gottta say. I'll let the records talk for they self."

The Washington, D.C. native took to his Twitter account to confirm that Roc Nation will continue to manage his career. “ ROCNATION still handles the business," he wrote."[T]he music won’t change the energy will! [M]aybach [M]usic.”

Wale recently appeared on Rozay's Ashes to Ashes mixtape along with Meek Mill and Chester French. According to MTV News, a bidding war between Jay-Z, Diddy, Birdman and Lyor Cohen has already ensued for Ross' Maybach Music imprint. —Nicole LoPresti
