Tha Carter IV's release is right around the corner. During an interview with MTV Lil Wayne announced that the highly-anticipated follow up to his multi-platinum selling 2008 disc, Tha Carter III, will hit shelves on May 16.

Weezy said he has completed recording the disc already. "Tha Carter IV is done," he said backstage during the opening show of his I Am Music II tour. "All they need to do is tell [my manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it."
