Lupe Fiasco’s Tracklisting for Lasers Not Confirmed, Rep Says

Earlier today (February 3) a tracklisting for Lupe Fiasco’s highly anticipated third album, Lasers, made its way on the ‘Net to much fanfare.  The tracklisting featured a number of acts including his previous collaborator Sarah Green, MDMA, John Legend, rock vocalist Matt Mahaffey and a slew of others.

However, a rep for the Grammy-Award winning lyricist spoke to XXLMag.com, saying that the tracklisting has not been confirmed.  As of press time, it is unclear what the LP’s official song list will look like.

This comes as the rapper’s forthcoming third album nears its March 8th release date. The disc will feature guest spots from R&B singer and fellow Atlantic artist Trey Songz as well as British rapper Sway. On the production side, Lu has linked back up with Virgina duo The Neptunes.

In the meantime, fans can officially pre-order Lasers online now at lupefiasco.com. —Ralph Bristout

It really doesn’t matter what the tracklist is going to look like to me; Lupe is about to drop bombs. Again. Usually has some pretty good guests, too.

im a huge fan of the concious music style of nas/common/talib/mos def.. kanye since he started out with “h to the izzo” and his debut album which led to hearing of lupe. but hiphop changed direction and since then ive come to admire the kanye, drake, wayne era.. from 808′s and heartbreak to now. lupe has always been an artist that ive followed and one ive secretly always wanted to see break off to become mainstream, eventhough its not his thing. kinda like how kanye broke out. with that said, i cant wait for lasers to drop. it’ll be good to out and buy an album thats worth it for once.
