West Coast rapper, 40 Glocc, was arrested yesterday (January 23) in San Bernadino, CA on suspicions of multiple weapons violations.

According to the Los Angeles Times, 40 was cuffed after being caught carrying a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in the passenger side of his black Range Rover.  The G-Unit affiliate was was picked up near the Arbor Terrace Apartments, a place he and 60 other gang members were banned from after a 2008 court injunction, said Lt. Jarrod Burguon of the San Bernardino Police Department. Identified by authorities as a member of the Colton City Crips, 40 denies being a member of the gang.

Lt. Burguon says he was patrolling the Village Green Apartments in the West Chestnut Street neighborhood of San Bernardino when he noticed the rapper and others hanging around a carport when he decided to approach them.

Glocc was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino and charged with various weapons violations. The others with him were arrested for violating parole. —Amber McKynzie
