DJ Envy, Angela Yee & Charlamagne Tha God Replace Ed Lover on NY’s Power 105

XXL has confirmed that Shade 45 jock Angela Yee, XXLMag.com blogger Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy will be taking over Ed Lover's spot on New York radio station Power 105.1 FM’s morning show.

Earlier today (November 23), radio personality Ed Lover revealed via Twitter that Power is replacing him as they restructure their morning show. Lover announced, “Thanks 4 all the love [about] my departure from Power105! I’m not done with radio….not by a long shot! C’mon Son! And I’m not leaving radio in NYC….not if I can help it! Big things are on the horizon! I didn’t leave Power 105…..they fired me! #truetweet. Why? Hell if I know….they said….restructuring…”

The new morning show crew will hit the airwaves in two weeks. They will be facing off between Peter Rosenberg, DJ Cipha Sounds and K. Fox on rival station Hot 97—who currently have the number one morning show in New York. Yee, who used to work with Cipha years ago on Sirius, will be leaving Shade 45. –Nicole LoPresti
