It’s been three years in the making, but Joell Ortiz will finally be releasing his sophomore album, Free Agent.

After multiple delays and years in limbo, the project is set to drop on November 30. Coming out on E1 Music, the album will feature guest appearances from The LOX and production from DJ Premier, Just Blaze, DJ Khalil and more. Joell's Premo collaboration, “Sing Like Bilal,” is continuing to pick up steam on the airwaves. The release comes one year after Joell teamed with Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9”, and Crooked I to form Slaughterhouse and release their self-titled debut in August of 2009, and three years after his first solo project, The Brick: Bodega Chronicles.

Joell is currently finishing up a domestic tour and will head to Canada in December before making his way across the pond to Europe in February.

As previously reported, there were rumblings that Ortiz had signed with SRC Records. However, no such rumors have since been confirmed. —Adam Fleischer
