Bay Area rapper/producer Droop-E recently released BLVCK Diamond Life, a conceptual mixtape featuring a track list composed entirely of songs using Sade samples. As he explained in his feature story earlier today, Droop was inspired to do the tape because he was such a huge fan of the iconic singer. But it’s not just E-40’s son who’s publicly proclaimed his standom for the Nigerian-born talent. From Jay-Z to Drake, hip-hop has had a longtime love affair with the R&B singer’s sexy voice and laid-back sound. XXLMag.com dug in the crates to create a list of 15 bangers that also borrowed from the smooth operator, along with the original source material. Check the resume. —Elan Mancini
