Wyclef Jean Ordered to “Rest” After Short Hospital Visit, Says Brother

Reports hit the ’Net earlier today (September 27) that Wyclef Jean was hospitalized due to fatigue and extreme stress. XXLMag.com contacted the former Fugees frontman’s brother to find out if the news was true.

“’Clef was hospitalized [on Sunday] but he is currently at home under the care of his physician,” Samuel Jean said. “He has been ordered on bed rest for the next couple of days.”

According to HaitianBeatz.com, Wyclef was reportedly suffering from severe headaches for weeks, forcing him to check into a hospital.

The Haitian-native recently ended his bid to become president of his homeland. Once he has fully recuperated he will continue work on a new solo album. —Jesse Gissen
