Update: T.I. & Tiny Arrested for Alleged Possession of Ecstasy

T.I. is back in hot water. The Atlanta rapper and his new bride Tameka "Tiny" Cottle-Harris were both arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance last night (September 1) in West Hollywood, reports the Associated Press.

According to tmz.com, authorities smelled marijuana in the couple’s car during a traffic stop, and after searching the vehicle and allegedly finding what is believed to be a small amount of ecstasy, the pair were cuffed and taken into custody. Bail was set at $10,000, and they were released around 4 a.m. The pills are currently being tested.

The affects of this arrest, concerning Tip, are unclear as of yet. The Grand Hustle leader is currently serving three years probation, after returning home from federal prison in December 2009 for gun possession.

Calls to T.I.'s lawyer were not returned as of press time.

Earlier this week his new movie, Takers, earned the top spot on the box office charts.
