Swagger jacker alert! Soulja Boy, along with his artists Jbar and Arab, and S.O.D. Money Gang Ent., just got served. Last Friday (July 30), Michigan clothing designer Clement Brown, Jr. hit the Atlanta-based rapper and his team with a lawsuit for allegedly stealing the slogan for his clothing line, Laundry Money.

The issue stems from Soulja’s “code of honor,” which reads: "Grind…Hustle...Double Up...Flip...Stack...Get Yo Weight Up...Save...Shop...Invest...Recoup…Own Your Own Business...Buy Property...Network...Build Credit...Stay Determined...Stay Focused...Stay Dedicated...Never Lie To Your Higher Authority...Have Goals...Always Remember Money First…Gang Color Yellow and Green…Never Snitch…"

According to Brown, that code of honor is anything but, as he copyrighted the slogan for Laundry Money ("Grind…Hustle hard…Double up…Flip…Stack…Get your weight up…Save…Cop…Invest…Re-cop…Reinvest….Buy property…Network…Build credit…Stay determined…") back in 2008, long before Soulja’s appeared.

Although reps for Soulja Boy have yet to respond to the allegations, Brown is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages for loss of sales, profits, good will and copyright infringement. According to Allhiphop, He’s also filed an injunction to prevent further use of the slogan by Soulja and S.O.D. Stay tuned to XXLMag.com as more information develops. —Anslem Samuel
