Yesterday (August 3), Lil Wayne gave his first radio interview since he entered Rikers Island in March. Weezy called into New York City’s Hot 97 and spoke with Funkmaster Flex for roughly ten minutes.

When Flex asked Wayne what he’s been listening to while in jail, the head of Young Money remained honest. “I don’t listen to no music,” he said, before explaining that he didn’t listen to music even when he was on the outside, and instead chooses to tune into sports radio.

He also spoke on Eminem, with whom he has collaborated a few times, most recently on “No Love,” off of Em’s platinum-selling Recovery. “He’s a great dude,” Weezy said. “He’s been keepin’ up with me while I been in here.” The New Orleans native also said that he calls his Young Money family often—he speaks to Drake roughly once a week and calls Mack Maine everyday.

As for his day-to-day schedule, the 27-year-old says he has developed a regular routine: he wakes up at noon, makes calls, reads and responds to letters for 4 to 5 hours, eats dinner, gets on the phone again, and then calls it a night.
