On Friday afternoon (August 7), Kanye West took to Ustream for the first time to talk to his fans and take their questions. During the 25-minute session, 'Ye said that his album will be released in November, not September as previously believed. He also announced that his next single would drop within the next three weeks.

Broadcasting live from Korea shortly before making his way to the airport, West, after taking a few minutes to acclimate himself with the technology, began the interview by answering the question that was on everyone’s mind. “Am I allowed to say when the album’s gonna drop yet?” he asked to an associate off-camera, before turning back to the screen and confirming it will be, “sometime in November.”

'Ye disclosed that his next single will either be “Lost in the World” or “All of the Lights” (of which he played a short clip) and that it should be dropping within the next three weeks. He then touched on everything from his “All Falls Down” video to being in the studio with RZA, Pete Rock and Q-Tip.

He also revealed his mentality when creating music. “When I make music, I’m not really thinking about other rappers’ albums," he explained. "I’m trying to make my music compete with that [Alexander] McQueen collection. I’m not saying that it does. I’m just saying that that is the goal. That’s how high I set the bar of creation. When I think of competition, it’s like I try to create against the past. I think about Michelangelo, Picasso, the pyramids, and that’s the reason I put like 5,000 hours into a song like ‘Power.’”
