Wale and his all-star team took over New York City’s Highline Ballroom last night (August 16) in celebration of the recent release of his latest mixtape More About Nothing.

Before the 2009 XXL Freshman hit the stage, opening acts rapper/singer Tiara Thomas and Rev Run’s child prodigy, Diggy Simmons warmed up the crowd. The young'n promoted his new mixtape, Airborne, scheduled to drop this week, and performed his latest track, "Come to Rock," which features a sample from Led Zeppelin. [Watch below]

Even before D.C.’s own hit the stage, he had the crowd going crazy – screaming his name for at least ten minutes before he decided to make his musical debut. Wale performed songs, old and new, but the crowd favorite was “Beautiful Bliss,” his 2009 track off Attention Deficit featuring J. Cole and Melanie Fiona [watch below]. And because Wale knows how to put on a show, he had no problem surprising his fans with fellow Roc Nation member, J. Cole, who performed his latest joint, "Blow Up."
