Drake Readies Nat’l Tour With Clipse, NY Date Already Sold-Out

Riding the wave of his successful debut album, Thank Me Later, Drake is ready to hit the road for a national tour.

The Light Dreams & Nightmares Tour will be hitting 20 cities beginning in mid-September. The Clipse will be the opening act for the 24-date tour, which is spending two nights in certain cities. Pusha T, one half of the Virginia duo, has a solo mixtape titled Fear of God currently set for a September 14 release, just days before the tour kicks off.

In July, Drake quietly announced the performance at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on September 28 and tickets sold-out within 60 minutes. These will be his first performances in the Big Apple.

Many shows already have tickets on sale or offered a pre-sale. Tickets are available through ticketmaster.com and select Ticketmaster outlets and also at livenation.com.

THIS IS A MUST SEE CONCERT! I saw DRAKE in Saint John, Canada a month ago and it was probably the best time of my life. He has such an amazing stage presence and the whole show was unbelievable. YOU MUST GO!

  • Omunique

I’m not surprised! Drake is a very talented artist!

  • E-Hustle

@Omunique, you wont be saying that in two years nephew.
Dudes buzz will flatline in less than that time frame.
He better enjoy this while it last because he will never do a back to back show at the same spot unless there is another headliner carrying that shit.

Drake is a studio rapper/singer. His live performances aren’t that great.

    • PRE

I agree. I saw him at Vanderbilt University this Spring, and he was a bit of a disappointment. He’s definitely talented. Just not that great of a show.
