Cee-Lo is headed to the small screen. The Atlanta artist will be hosting the upcoming interview-and- performance show, Lay it Down, starting this October on the Fuse cable network.

According to the L.A. Times, Lil Jon, Ludacris, T-Pain, N.E.R.D. Janelle Monae and Public Enemy have all been slated to appear on the show—which will find the Goodie Mob rapper asking them about the stories behind their biggest songs, while also, at-times, joining them for a televised performance. Cee-Lo describes the series as a "modernized midnight television special."

Asked why he decided to participate in the program, the Gnarls Barkley front man said he was honored. “It’s more than me wanting to do this, it’s someone wanted me to do it, which was very flattering and a compliment in the fact that I was asked to be a part of it,” Green told the Times. “That was gratifying for me.”

In addition to the Fuse show, Cee-Lo is also currently working on his forthcoming solo album, Lady Killer, and a Goodie Mob reunion LP. —Elan Mancini
