Ice-T Arrested for Driving Violation

He might play a detective on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but that doesn’t give Ice-T a pass with the boys in blue. The West Coast rap legend and accomplished actor was arrested earlier today (July 20) for a driving violation.

According to tmz.com, Ice was pulled over in New York City after he was spotted by the NYPD for driving without his seat belt. Upon further investigation, authorities allegedly cuffed T for being behind the wheel with a suspended license.

He was taken into custody at the 10th Precinct in Chelsea and quickly released.

Ice-T wrote on his Twitter earlier today that he and his wife, Coco, were taking their dog, Spartacus, to the veterinarian for knee surgery.

Ice has yet to comment on the arrest. —Elan Mancini
