The coke wave is coming to Memphis.  French Montana revealed to XXLMag.com that he’s just finished recording with Three 6 Mafia and has plans to release an entire joint album with the Oscar-award winning group, titled Cocaine Mafia.

According to French, the idea for the collaboration started after Juicy J reached out to him as a fan. “I felt like ‘damn, Three 6 Mafia wanna do something with me,’ I felt honored,” he said after receiving the call. “So after that me and Juicy J kicked it and we just ended up doing a whole album.

The Konvict Music MC said he laid down 15 tracks in about three days at Three 6’s Memphis studio. One of songs features his label boss, Akon, who he says gave his blessing on the project. “Just had the meeting with Akon yesterday and he was standing behind it 100 percent," he said. “Actually the first single off the project is gonna be me, Three 6 and Akon.”

As of press time FM is unsure what label the collaboration album will be released on. —Elan Mancini
