Yesterday (June 8), it was revealed that A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Premier would be added to this summer’s Rock the Bells lineup. The seventh annual event, whose initial roster was announced in late May, will hit San Bernadino, San Francisco, New York, and Washington D.C. in late August.

The new additions will be following suit of those previously billed, performing their seminal albums, in full length, at the event. Snoop will be returning to his debut LP, Doggystyle and Tribe will kick 1993’s Midnight Marauders. There was no indication of whether or not “special guest” Lauryn Hill will perform her debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in full length, or if she’d do a mix of tracks from that Grammy Award winning album and records from her days with the Fugees. DJ Premier’s set will be a tribute to Gang Starr and, presumably, will turn into a memorial for his fallen brother, Guru.

As previously announced, Wu-Tang Clan (1993’s Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chanbers), Rakim (1987’s Paid in Full), KRS-One (1987’s Criminal Minded) and Slick Rick (1988’s The Great Adventures of Slick Rick), will all be performing their albums in full length, as well.

Tickets will go on sale this Saturday, June 12 at ticketfly.com. Fans can visit Guerilla Union's website for more details and the full concert lineup. —Adam Fleischer
