Grab your popcorn, Kanye West will be appearing at the upcoming BET Awards. The network announced today (June 9) that the rap superstar is set to perform at their annual celebration at the end of the month.

This will be the first awards ceremony for the Chicago-native since he went on a self-imposed exile following his onstage outburst at last year’s MTV Awards when Beyonce lost the “Best Female Video” trophy to pop singer Taylor Swift.

Kanye isn’t the only big name making a comeback appearance at the show. T.I. will be making his first televised performance since being released from prison on federal gun charges.

The show, set to air on June 27, live from L.A.’s Shrine Audition, will be hosted by Queen Latifah, and will also feature performances by Nicki Minaj, Drake, Trey Songz, and Diddy-Dirty Money, among others. —Elan Mancini
