The forthcoming interactive video game, Def Jam Rapstar, just got iller. Konami announced today (June ) that Just Blaze and DJ Premier have signed on to provide exclusive instrumentals for the game.

Seven of the songs that will be featured in DJR have also been revealed, which include Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend,” Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day,” OutKast’s “So Fresh and So Clean,” Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y,” Method Man and Redman’s “Da Rocwilder,” Salt-N-Peppa’s “Push It” and Drake’s “Best I Ever Had.”

As previously reported, the game is a collaborative project from Def Jam Interactive and 4mm Games where players can sing along to classic hip-hop hits as well as record and upload 30-second video clips of themselves performing on social networks like Facebook.

Def Jam Rapstar will be released on October 5, for the Xbox 360 for $69.99, and for PlayStation 3 and Wii for $59.99.—Manny Madu
