Yung Joc recently made some grown-up business moves. The Atlanta rapper signed to Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group as an artist and inked a production deal with Battery/Jive Records for his Swagg Team Entertainment imprint.

The platinum-selling artist—who’s responsible for bringing two high profile singles, the GS Boyz's “Stanky Leg” and Hot Stylz's “Lookin’ Boy," to Jive last year—is excited about the new deal.

“It is my pleasure and honor to announce my affiliation and new partnership with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group and Battery/Jive Records,” Joc said. “Now I can actually work and not wonder if I’m going to be held back from building my own brand as well as the Swagg Team brand. I’m very excited to work with this team.”

Joc will continue to seek out and cultivate new talent through Swagg Team under his new production deal. However, as an artist Joc is signed to Polo Grounds, home to Pitbull, Hurricane Chris, Yo Gotti, and Nina Sky.

“The signing of Yung Joc as both an executive and entertainer is a testament to the great talent that he possesses,” said Tom Carson, the executive-vice president and general manger of RCA Music Group. “His addition to the Polo Grounds Music roster will further establish the label’s strong foothold in urban music.”

Joc is currently working on a new album, tentatively titled Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, expected to drop in late 2010. —Brooklyne Gipson
