Suge Knight was quickly released from police custody yesterday (May 20), the same day he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the Associated Press, the former rap mogul was set free after posting $65,000 bail. Marc Brumer, a lawyer for Knight, denied the allegations that the ex-Death Row honcho pulled a gun on a man in South Los Angeles. He claims there was never even a confrontation between the two and Suge did not possess a weapon.

As previously reported, SK was cuffed in Gardenia on Thursday morning just after midnight. He was then held by authorities for allegedly driving with a suspended license.

If convicted, Knight will most likely return to jail for violating the terms of his probation. —Elan Mancini
