When it comes to rap beef, N.O.R.E. is a vegetarian. XXLMag.com caught up with the Queens-bred MC to get his opinion on Shyne’s recent jabs at 50 Cent. And as far as the C-N-N rapper is concerned, he has no comment.
“I’m not really with the rap game dissing each other,” Nore told XXL at the former Terror Squad rapper Armageddon’s video shoot in Brooklyn. “To me it’s all young Black[s] [and] Latinos, you know people from the ghetto that’s struggling, and every time you…diss the next person it just makes it harder for the game. So me, I have never been with the dissing shit… that’s something that I don’t pay attention [to] in the game. I am aware of it, but I don’t pay attention. [Watch below]
In fact, Noreaga is so removed from the current list of MCs feuding; he unknowingly enlisted two rivals for C-N-N’s “Rotate (Champion Hoodie Remix).” “I remember I had Max B and Hell Rell on the same record,” he said. “I didn’t even know they was beefing…They both was calling me like, ‘Yo, dude.’ I was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’… I don’t wanna pay attention to the beef, I wanna pay attention to the love.”
Nore is currently working with rhyme-partner Capone on The War Report 2, the sequel to their 1997 classic debut. The disc is expected to drop on July 13. —Elan Mancini with reporting by Amber McKynzie
