DMX May Escape Jail Time Thanks to Dr. Drew

Earlier today (March 16) DMX was sentenced to six months in jail in an Arizona courtroom for violating his probation. Yet he may not have to serve any more time behind bars.

TMZ reports that although X admitted to five separate probation violations—all drug related incidents—Celebrity Rehab’s Dr. Drew Pinksy wrote a letter to the judge asking if he could treat the troubled rapper at his Pasadena Recovery Center.

As of press time the verdict is uncertain.

The Yonkers-bred MC was arrested and held without bond last Tuesday after admitting to his probation officer that he had been abusing cocaine since being released from jail nine months ago. He was on probation for throwing a food tray at an officer while locked up on drug, theft and animal abuse charges last year.

i pray for this brother. certain rappers you wanna just hear one more classic not saying other album were not good. but dmx stories be ill. one day at summer jam x had crowd control like crazy. every one was just going crazy ruff ryders had the shit on lock . x ripped twos songs said prayer. broke down and came back and ripped the show. the stadium went crazy. i never seeeeeeeen anything like that in my life!

The real question is… Are they [PRC/Vh1] really extending a helping hand or is this vh1 trying to anchor another star for another season of Celebrity Rehab. If he is treated in private then fine but if this ends up on Vh1 we will all know that this was just another way to hike the rates for advertisers on Vh1.

On another note…

Lil Wayne had a perfectly good reason for missing his court date in Arizona today — he’s currently behind bars in New York. But Yuma County didn’t care … and issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

Wayne pled not guilty in the past to a litany of drug charges related to a January 2008 arrest, where DEA agents found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills and a 40-caliber pistol on his tour bus.

Wayne had a court date today, but missed it cause of the whole “already in jail” thing.-TMZ

This ain’t looking good for homie AT ALL. But I have been saying to y’all who were talking about ‘he got money’ and ‘n*ggas stay hating’ that he needs to worry about THIS case. Them Yuma County law guys are gonna make a career off of this case.

Yea more jail time is going to do nothing for this guy because its not like he cant get that shit behind bars you know. He needs to goto rehab but I highly dissagree with Dr.Drew as a choice he is a pimp like Dr.Phil and the rest of that crowd. Honestly DMX is reaching a tipping point he will end up dead if he does not stop dude is damn near forty. It will be a damn shame if his heart do stop because the mans talents are amazing and he still can deliver that fire. I doubt he will be a mainstream commercial success but there are still tons of people who will goto his concerts and bump his shit.
