Fabolous/DJ Drama Mixtape Delayed, Rapper Pleads With Fans to “Have Patience”

Fabolous’ new mixtape with DJ Drama, There is No Competition, Pt. 2, was originally supposed to drop on Christmas, only to get pushed back to New Years Day. Five days later and the tape has yet to surface.

The Twitter-happy MC recently logged on to his account to address the delays. “It took God 6 days 2 create the heavens & the Earth,” he explained. “Took 300 million yrs 2 make the Grand Canyon…Takes 9 months 2 birth a baby, but u get a bundle of joy.. So hav patience 4 the mixtape. #TiNc2 will b the baby jesus of mixtapes!”

XXLMAg.com first spoke to Drama back in November about the project, where he promised the collaboration blows the their one, “out the water.”

At the same time, he feels the first one might have gotten slept on. “I think There is No Competition, Pt. 1 was almost like a cult classic Gangsta Grillz,” Drama said. “I think at the time it came out it was when the mixtape game wasn’t at a high point… but I think it was a fan favorite. If you search on Twitter, people ride to it still to this day.”

As of press time there is no set release date for TINC 2. —Elan Mancini

Fab been doing classic mixtapes since ’98 with DJ Clue and shit, damn near before that but I wasn’t up on him until ’98. Part 1 was crazy with the Street Fam…Red Cafe, Paul Cain and my favorite Freck The Billonaire. Them boys got bars, Fab a beast and one of the best lyrically out there today. He sold 99,000 and Young Money sold 142,000 or something in there first weeks. And Fab is better then Wayne, Drake & Nikki put together lol.

Naw, I’m a big Wayne fan and Drake. Shit, I like Nikki too But Fab could probably murder them all one by one…real talk…someone please tell me different!
