Bouncers at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Get Hit With 14 Charges

Back in November shocking video footage leaked online of several bouncers beating down two patrons outside of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Atlantic City. In the wake of public outcry, all of the security guards were subsequently fired but now the victims are fighting back.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the two men that were assaulted—25-year-old Leonard Clark and 26-year-old Tyrell Durant—filed charges yesterday (January 11) against their nine attackers. Among the 14 charges is aggravated assault, as well as indictable assault, for spraying Clark and Durant with a fire extinguisher.

On the night of the attack, Clark was actually at the club to celebrate his birthday, before being asked to leave the venue, which escalated to a fight outside. Clark and Durant were later hit with disorderly conduct charges themselves, but as of press time there was no word on the status of those charges. —Anslem Samuel

    Wow, 8 of my friends including myself would whoop the shit outta those bouncers. No lie. Maybe even 6 of us on that same night woulda fucked all 9 of those niggas up. You’d think bouncers being bouncers could land a punch and stop “slappin” and swingin’ wild. I’d be embarassed If I was Jay. Fuck the lawsuit.

    I remember this video footage. U can tell them bouncers were wilin’. Beatin on niggas for no reason, they were already outside so that means the bouncer successfully “kicked” them out. Then they just started whoopin on dudes for no reason, you can see it plain as day in the video. Lawyers probably saw it too lol.

    Yip, Jay-Z better get the cheque book out cos they video clearly shows the bouncers going OTT, although they throw horrible punches and the fact there is like 10 boucers against the 2 guys who had probably been drinking therefore couldnt protect themselves properly!

    Unless you’re from the area you can’t tell how niggaz act. There’s not a club in AC that niggaz don’t fight with the bouncers in. They just lucky that nobody started shooting like they always do.
