Talib Kweli Signs up for Noisemakers Event, XXL Gives Away Tickets

Hot 97’s DJ Peter Rosenberg has tapped Brooklyn’s own Talib Kweli for his next Noisemakers event in New York City and XXL has two pairs of tickets to give away.

Noisemakers is a monthly series hosted by Rosenberg, that includes both live performances and comprehensive interviews spanning the artist’s career. Past honorees have included Raekwon, Q-Tip, ?uestlove and DJ Premier.

Fans interested in scoring tickets will have to email XXL@harris-pub.com with their full name and the answer to this question: What Cincinnati group first featured a young Talib Kweli rhyming on their debut, and what is the name of that 1997 disc? The first two fans to get the answer right win.

Noisemakers is set to take place on Wednesday, October 21 at the 92Y on 200 Hudson Street in Manhattan. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets cost $15. –Elan Mancini
