Fat Joe Praises 50 Cent for J.O.S.E. 2 Promotion

Fat Joe has more words for 50 Cent, who dissed his new LP J.O.S.E. 2 in an internet video posted on Thisis50.com on September 28. However, this time he’s giving praise to the Queens MC.

Fat Joe appeared on Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg radio show this morning on New York City’s Hot 97 and sarcastically thanked 50 for all the publicity he’s been giving J.O.S.E. 2 which just dropped on Tuesday (October 6).

Feigning sincerity, Fat Joe thanked 50 Cent for bigging him up and helping him out with the promotion that his label didn’t really provide him with. He said that’s he’s very grateful to 50 for recognizing this and doing something about it which, he believes, shows that 50 is truly his number one fan.

Fat Joe’s praise is a stark difference from what he said via his Twitter account just a few days ago: “Tell 50 to get off my D*CK already. He was sick that my album is SO HOT that real music not that wack sh*t him and his clowns are making!!”

50 Cent was recently called out by Fabolous for his role in contributing to the “isolated & crumbled” state of the New York hip-hop scene, although Fab has since said that his words were taken out of context. -Brooklyne Gipson

50 and Fat Joe are lovers.

Joe is right though. I didn’t even know JOSE 2 was coming out (although Jealous Ones Envy was and still is my sh*t). But here’s the rub: because people are talking about what 50 said does not mean they are going to cop JOSE 2. JOSE has been on sale at half.com brand new for 75 cents for at least a month and no one bought that sh*t.

Joe definitely gets an A for effort though. That n*gga been dropping mediocre albums for at least ten years now. God bless you my dude.

    • eloco22

you took the words out of my mouth worley, but he did had one good album in the last ten year lol

  • Fireforreal

I like fat joe because he usually has some fire beats but this album from front to back is horrible. Fat joe has done waaaaaaaaay better shit then this before. It was a waste of my time to listen to it. And 50 is just being a clown anyway because know one cares about his music career any more so he’s bored.

Like it or not 50 is still a factor. His music may suck but people hear what he says even if they dont listen. 50 made one comment and now Joe will spend the next month anytime anyone ask him anything mentioning 50.

BTW Jose 2 is trash, he should pray no one knew about this album and cut a new one fast. Might not lose what little fan base he still got.

  • capcobra

joe trying to get back on 50 good side..kinda like dblock.

  • sealsaa

Ummm…WRONG. Jadakiss murked Curtis on “Checkmate”. If anything, 50′s trying to play nice with other rappers because his musical career is going to shit…

    • capcobra

never put too much trust in friends and know how to use your enemies…that’s what that show was all about…50 showing ny love just in case he gotta go back…this his last album on shady…if he goes indie then he’s gonna need support from most of the artists that he showcased..not to mention that he got jay and kanye artists on the bill along with former rivals like dblock dipset and joe budden…so once again..”never put too much trust in your friends and know how to use your enemies”…and yes kiss did kill him on checkmate..but kiss is a better mc period..he just a bad businessman..so in order to do business he had to get a peace treaty with 50…jay couldn’t afford 50 ruining kiss debut like sigel did..remember that?..so it ain’t about checkmate..it’s about chex because the kids gotta eat…best thing for fat joe to do is get that same peace treaty kiss got and move on..then maybe next summer they’ll hug each other and donate money to charity.

      • $ykotic/Don McCaine

        On point cap.

But “Shots Fired” was the one that hurt.

        Joe might not even chart.

He’d be better off asking Fif for that $ he threw in that video…

      • makaveli1671

Agree with everything you said…but as far as Sigel ruining Kiss debut I really don’t remember that….I remember the hot diss record he had against Kiss but that didn’t affect Kiss debut

        • capcobra

jadakiss 1st joint was highly anticipated..he had all the right producers/features..he was in position to be a king of ny..everybody was waiting…and outta nowhere sigel started raining on him..he even ruined the 2nd single by saying kiss gon wish he knocked himself out..so everytime niguz was talking about kiss somebody else bought up sigel..that’s why i say sigel ruined it..sigel showed niguz that kiss wasn’t on jay level…and kiss been a prince instead of a king ever since..he deserve to be top 7 but the sigel incident put a dent in his armor early.

  • CapoStatus

ya I heard the JOSE 2 album and 50 was right that shit is garbage

  • Brooklyn

i never been a big fat joe fan, though he was nice back in the day, he’s progressively gotten worse and worse, and jose 2 is like rock bottom as far as i’m concerned. 50′s bored, that’s why he’s starting all these beefs, he needs something to do.

    • BIGNAT

i think album wise he goes up and down. i start with what i know like don cartagena was aight. loyalty was very good the terror squad album. the one that joe did was basically a joe album it was very good. j.o.s.e it was aight things of that nature was kinda weak. me myself and i was very good. elephant in the room was okay the reason he goes up and down. he can make complete albums that are very good but you know he goes out of his way to make sure he has a hit. that messes with the flow of the album or he puts some corny shit out there. that you think is the worst but your girl loves it.

  • 11KAP

    @ capcobra

“?..so it ain’t about checkmate..it’s about chex because the kids gotta eat…”

Oh really? Just like he allowed Mobb Deep to “eat”? I just don’t buy into this myth that 50 Cent can end people’s careers, sorry. And Ja’Rule doesn’t count. If anything, he put his own career on the ledge by over-saturating the market with himself. 50 just gave him a hefty push. Hell, he couldn’t even end Rick Ross’ career, and he was exposed as a complete fraud. Didn’t Jadakiss get signed to Def Jam well BEFORE this whole 50Fest thing kicked off? Kinda puts holes in your “desperate truce” theory. I stand by my my previous statements. 1.)No one’s scared of 50 Cent -Jay Z 2.)50 is playing nice with other rappers now because his musical career has gone to shit. Plain and simple.

    • capcobra

i never said deseperate truce..i said peace treaty..aka a good business move..but yes i do agree that 50 don’t end niguz careers..they do it themselves by going back and forth with him…and by the end it’s thier image that gets tarnished..yeah they still record but the streets look at ‘em a lil different..that all..and yes kiss was on def jam way before the 50fest but..the big homie made it okay so he can run promo on thisis50..remember kiss saying that?..even more than that..the camron situation started while 50 was trying to squash the beef with styles p on hot 97..50 been said the only other hard niguz come from yonkers..so the same way he squashed the dblock beef he should with terror squad..joe just gotta go about it the right way..and this is a good start…as far as mobb deep goes..he didn’t do ‘em dirty..he paid ‘em and gave ‘em a shot.

  • $ykotic/Don McCaine

For all that are saying 50′s music is done we will see next month.

Put a pin in that argument until then…

  • K.ing

Rick ross career is over homie….

it havent even been a year yet…. and ricky is from the south so they gone stick together and give him ft….

Rick Ross album flopped (same as the ja rule clap back album) CCC will flop or get pushed back….

as far as music career i ask you this who in NY can out sale 50 but maybe jay z… (for the first time since 2003) his music career is where 95 % of all rappers go hit your peak and decline…

except his buisness career is on point so on point that his Website is bigger then XXLMAG.com

he has a book on the top 10 NY best sellers list…

    Best mixtape of the year

Still making more $$$ then most last year….

Nigga ain’t even flopped yet…. Mean while jay still ain’t plat….

Denile, not just a river in Egypt. The fact is that 50 Cent just doesn’t have the same musical influence that he once had. And while you’re ragging on Jay for not going plat yet, you neglect to mention the FACT that rap CD sales are at their lowest point in a long time, so 100,000 is indeed the new 1,000,000. Jay’s done 4 so far. ANd I was cleary criticizing 50′s MUSIC, yet somehow, his other financial ventures came into play. Typical 50 cent defense, i.e., his music has gotten steadily worse, but he’s rich and successful, so he gets a pass.

  • 831

so dudes sayin bp3 flopped??….n fif hasnt flopped yet?? ahaha fuckin laughs whens the last time fif dropped an album period. like dude said u see what people are sellin these days if u dont have a fan base that includes lil girls n boys from 12 to 16 like wayne n drake ur not goin plat. n anyway what the fuck jay doin in this conversation its about joey crack n curtis.

    “$ykotic/Don McCaine says:

For all that are saying 50’s music is done we will see next month.

Put a pin in that argument until then…”

    It’s spelled D-E-N-I-A-L.

Until the RIAA says different, 500K is gold, a million is platinum, and so on. There are no consolation prizes for other numbers. If you don’t come even close to those numbers and are signed to a label, you are on shaky ground. Period.

Let’s leave out the hatred & segregation sales(only lil’ girls & white people, etc, etc.) because ANY ARTIST WANTS EVERYBODY TO BUY THEIR PRODUCT. Doesn’t that mean more money for you? After all Mr. Rapper Dude gets paid LAST.

And we all know the hoods DO NOT BUY CD’S. $5 specials are the business.

Does anyone know the numbers on War Angel & Forever King? The hits on Flight 187? That’s an interesting convo.

Until then, BISD is coming in another month. Let’s see how it does when it drops.

  • creeper530

i am a big fat joe fan but i heard, J.O.S.E. 2 and it is hot garbage. Its all auto-tuned hooks and crappy miami beats, i liked elephant in the room even though lil wayne wrote most of it. I just hope he can redeem himself because u slap a 2 after it doesn’t mean its going to be better then the predecessor please fat joe make athe next album better than this. go back to new york.

    @ $yk

Shaky ground my dude? LOL! If that’s the case, then the ENTIRE industry is on “shaky ground”, because the last artist to do big numbers in such a short period of time was Lil’ Wayne. At least be honest, because it doesn’t just apply to the Jigga man. Eminem didn’t exactly come out the gates running with his last album. As for your comment about the RIAA, I couldn’t disagree more. FACT: rap cd sales are at one their lowest points in history, so in contrast, yes, 100,000 might as well be the new 1,000,000. And no hate here, just observation. I never said that 50 was going to flop, but he’s not the musical powerhouse that he once was. I anticipate a change in your opinion about RIAA sales when 50 comes out, and doesn’t do the numbers you expect him to do.

    • $ykotic/Don McCaine

“I anticipate a change in your opinion about RIAA sales when 50 comes out, and doesn’t do the numbers you expect him to do.”

Everybody here is not a “50 stan” like you say. How can I change my opinion when I stated fact:

“Until the RIAA says different, 500K is gold, a million is platinum, and so on. There are no consolation prizes for other numbers.”

Show me where someone received a plaque for anything under 500K. We can all try to sweeten the low numbers with rhetoric, but they are still low numbers ACCORDING TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS. We can use the recession excuse but the #’s were getting low BEFORE the recession.

And yes the WHOLE MAINSTREAM RAP INDUSTRY(not HIPHOP) is on shaky ground because the numbers are way too low to justify the investment in it. Any business mind knows this is a problem(e.g. American car economy/retail/industrial). The “elite” will survive, the rest will be sent home.

My statement on 50 Cent AGAIN is:

“For all that are saying 50’s music is done we will see next month.

Put a pin in that argument until then…”

Did you think that was a “root 4 50″ statement? Because it means let’s stop with the circumstantial talk and see what the damn album does/sounds like when it drops to talk about it. That’s why I asked if anyone knew the #’s on his free work. That’s a convo that’s not circumstantial.

      PEACE sealsaa

      • Master Cheef

        big Don McCaine says,
“We can use the recession excuse but the #’s were getting low BEFORE the recession.”

-there was a recession before the recession. that shit was going on long before they copped to it.

  • Luciano Galasso

Fat Joe needs all the heat he can get from 50 Cent. That’s his only successful push right now, which is doing that much more than his record label ever could.

I will always support Fat Joe by waiting 3-7 weeks after his album debuts and buying it for 1.99-2.99 in the bargain section of Amoeba. It’s good to have his and other BS records in your collection because their will be 1-2 songs with a good beat/production along with his sorry posing as a “real NY artist”, and a talented one at that….

The intangible Fatty is how many extra people DON’t buy your album that would have without 50 reminding us how much you have sucked over the last 10 years.
