T-Pain Drops Auto-Tune App for iPhone Today [With Exclusive Video]

Earlier this year news broke that T-Pain was working on program that allowed fans to use his signature Auto-Tune sounds on their iPhone. Smule, the company responsible for making the application stopped by the XXL offices recently to give a demonstration on how it works. [Watch below]

The app, titled “I Am T-Pain,” is the first program that lets users alter their vocals, sing along to popular Pain songs and record and share their music. Fans can also create their own songs, email them to friends and post them on their Facebook or MySpace pages.

“I Am T-Pain” is available for purchase starting today at the iTunes store for $2.99. -Max G

It goes without having to be mentioned that T-Pain is a very, very talented individual.

Almost every track that he’s made or guest-appeared over the past 2 or 3 years have been huge hits, so his talent & versatility are unparalleled & undeniable.

However, I think that this idea is wack… outside of a drank-induced experience, within a party setting, you would look mad corny from walking around, doing this.

On 2nd thought, you would just look extremely corny from doing this, regardless of setting, period.

Whoever purchases this needs to re-evaluate their priorities in life.

Where is Dave Chappelle when you need him? This would make for one hilarious skit a la his Lil’ Jon skits.

First and foremost Co-Sign both of HNIC posts. T-Pain is a great artist. I’m not a fan of auto tune, but I must say when T-Pain blesses the track its hot. This app is great for a party but sadly anywhere its gonna be an epic fail of the day

Just what the teenagers need for back to school; an app that makes them sound like their aunt who suffers from emphysema.

Next, he’ll be selling wigs that look like his tie-dyed dreads with that God-awful top hat attached.

I smell a Halloween costume in the works.
