One day after news broke that 50 Cent was planning a free, secret concert in Queens, New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, said the rap superstar would not be performing.

As previoulsy reported, Fif caused an uproar in his old Jamaica, Queens neighborhood yesterday, as residents and police officers were both in fear of potential violence and gunplay at the show. But now the New York Post has confirmed that the G-Unit general will not be hitting the stage.

"Our understanding after talking with 50 Cents [sic] is he has no plans to perform whatsoever,” Bloomberg told the Post. “He might go, but he's not going to perform.”

The show was scheduled for August 30 at 5:30 p.m. at public elementary school P.S. 40. It was supposed to be a part of the neighborhood’s Family Day celebration. –Max G
