Common & The Roots Team Up for Hennessy Artistry Concerts

Common and The Roots will be playing a series of dates together for the next two months as part of the Hennessy Artistry series.

According to CMJ, Com will be curating the concerts, which will be making stops in the rapper’s hometown of Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and New York. The Roots will be serving as the house band for the shows, as there are sure to be several surprise appearances by both up-and-coming acts and hip-hop veterans.

In the past Hennessy’s Artistry series has also included Kanye West, LL Cool J and Ne-Yo, just to name a few.

Common and The Roots are currently on the Rock The Bells tour, performing on the main stage. They will both be at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre for tonight’s stop in Denver.

9/12 - Chicago, IL - The Shrine

9/19 - Atlanta, GA - The Velvet Room

10/3 - Houston, TX - The Corinthian

10/7 - New York, NY - Terminal 5
