C-Murder was sentenced this morning (August 25) to 10 years in prison for two attempted murders in a Baton Rouge nightclub, according to The Times-Picayune.

As XXLMag.com previously reported, the 38-year-old rapper took a plea deal in May, pleading no contest to two counts of second-degree murder. He will be credited for time under house arrest and awaiting trial since his August 14, 2001 arrest at Club Raggs.

The sentencing comes less than two weeks after he was ordered a mandatory life term in prison, for the unrelated killing of 16-year-old Steve Thomas. –John Kennedy
