Jay-Z rules, he is my favorite (LI*VING) rapper. What do you ppl think? I mean who has had a run like that – and even if they its still rare. He has had like l1 album and they ALL were certified bangers. I mean Kingdom Come got some what KO’d but that was from lil young farts who were too young to understand/appreciate it & or did not give it enough time – that is one of those albums that needs to grow on you. When I got it from my boy, he burned it for me (yup, even b4 the reccession cats were greedy/broke) on the condition that I NOT grade it or review it until a minimum of a second listen. And he was axactly right. That album is written by Shawn Corey Carter – the MAN, not Jay-Z the ‘rapper’. And he touches on MAD subjects. he had the lil grown man ‘ring tone’ single – Show me what you God, he did a dedication to his man in jail with John Legend and a K.West track. He had a BANGER club/ladies-get-your-freak on song in ‘ANything’ a song which featured Usher when Usher was ghost. Had they dropped a vid 4 that joint it would have been the perfect return opp 4 Usher, what away 4 the R&B dancing crooner to step back into spotlight on the way to his next album (the cd with Moving Mountains on it) then to put a “106 and Parkie” track out there along side the greatest rapper alive (beside Eminem and Jadakiss IMO) He addressed/attacted/responded to dipsh*t (Cam, Jones and them ungrateful brats) with ‘Dig a hole’. And he destryoed them with TRUTH, the best kinda diss record. “The only time you went plat, my chain was on your neck thats a natural fact!!” And last but not least I would point out “30 something” where he ANSWERS critics like you guys who throw rocks at the Roc throne jus b/c he is near forty. Thats something I never understood, as long as you stay in your lane, who cares HOW old you are. Jus look at M.Jackson. Had Biggie and Pac lived they would be pretty dead-on to that age right now, would you guys have wanted them to step down. My thing is as long as you don’t have grey hair and are out there trying to keep up with if not be a 18yr old to 25 rapper dancing and makking dances, then do your thing! He is making way more hotter music than HALF the clowns in the industry. He is a lving legend and he has continued to grow, mature and ADAPT even. Hip hop ain’t kicked him out so Y should we? Can you honestly say that American Gangster won’t dope (literally in content) and that his latest tongue wetters from Joccin Jay Z to DOA ain’t FIRE and twice as hot as some of the hottest songs out there? Wake up and be honest with yourself when you look at the man in the mirror if you ain’t gonna be honest on this board from your Mommies basement computer (only talkin to the haters guys on that one, if you real even if you don’t like Jay-Z or appreciate him then you will understand if not completely co-sign this anyway,..
