The king of controversy is back. In a surprising move Eminem leaked a track last night (July 30) dissing R&B superstar Mariah Carey.
The song, titled “The Warning,” is apparently a response to Carey’s video for her new single, “Obsessed.” In the clip Mariah is featured dressed up as a man with stricking similarities to Slim Shady as she sings, “ You’re so so lame/ and no one here even mentions your name/ it must be the weed/ it must be the E/ cause you be poppin/ yeah you get it popping.” This all comes before the chorus, “Why you so obsessed with me? / Boy I wanna know/ lying that your’re sexing me?” [Watch Here]
Never one to hold his tongue, Em had this to say to the singer: “I’m ‘obsessed’ now/ oh gee that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee/ wow Mariah didn’t expect you to go balls out/ bitch shut the fuck up/ before I put all those phone calls out/ that you made to my house/ when you was wild’n out before Nick/ When you was on my dick/ and give you something to smile about.” [Listen Here]
Carey wasn’t the only target in the Detroit MCs lyrical mixture, as hubby Nick Cannon and Eminem himself also fall victim. “How ever you prefer to do and that goes for Nick too/ faggot you think I’m scrrred of you/ You gonna ruin my career you better get one/ like I’ma sit and fight with you over some slut bitch cunt/ that made me put up with her psycho ass what 6 months/ and only spread her legs to let me hit once/ yeah what you gonna say I’m lucky/ and tell the public that I was so ugly/ that you had to drunk to fuck me/ second base what the hell’d you tell Nick pumpkin/ the second week we were dry humping/ that’s gotta count for something/ listen girly sure you don’t want me to talk about how I nutted early/ cuase I ejaculated prematurely/ and busted all on your belly/ and you almost started hurling/ and said I was gross/ go get a towel your stomach curdling/ well maybe you do /but if I’m embarrassing me then I’m embarrassing you.”
Although both Mariah and Nick denied that “Obsessed” was about Em, upon hearing “Bagpipes from Baghdad” – a track playfully targeting the couple on the rapper’s comeback disc, Relapse, earlier this year – Cannon wrote a blog challenging the rapper to a fight. Nick later deleted the post.
While there is no word whether this song will be included on the Em’s sequal Relapse 2, the rap heavyweight plans on dropping the album sometime before the end of the year. –Max G
